To better understand the transfer landscape in Oregon, as well as the positive role postsecondary institutions play in supporting transfer students, The Ford Family Foundation recently commissioned a collaborative research project that led to six case studies and culminated in a report. On our blog, Michelle Hodara discusses the research findings and potential next steps. Consultation We offer literacy expertise across the spectrum, from early literacy to postsecondary and from English learners to special education students and children with dyslexia. We offer training and technical assistance specifically designed for educators and educational leaders to build the strengths and literacy of all students. Design For network development We support the development of education networks through a research-driven approach and our deep experience in the field. We help emerging networks build capacity to use data and evidence-based solutions to address challenges that take teamwork enriched by outside perspectives to overcome.Leadership Development We partner with educators to find solutions to their unique literacy needs that includes supporting students with disabilities. Drawing from a wide range of evidence-backed strategies that match specific learning environments, we collaborate with our clients to identify the content and delivery methods that best meet their needs. We work closely with leaders to create customized evaluations in areas ranging from early literacy to adolescent reading. We also have deep experience with literacy research and have served literacy policy consultants to lawmakers and school leaders.
